The Stations 2003, colour photocopies (A4), framed wool tapestries (29 x 24cm)

A piece conceived for the exhibition Moral Combat at St Leonards Church, Shoreditch. The 12 stations of the cross were created using images published in newspapers at the time of the conflict in Iraq in 2003. These were printed in colour and fly-posted chronologically all around the church on walls and pillars mirroring the Stations of the Cross. The tapestries were made up based on two of the stations. It was hoped at the time that as soon as the conflict was over and stability brought back to the country, all tapestries would be completed. None have been made since then. For more images on the installation, see The Stations.

Illustrated abouve are Stations 1,2,10,11. See installation page for images of the of the display in St Leonards Church.
